This spot located behind a 7/11 on Valley View & Imperial Highway is not to be missed!
Ricardo - owner was very nice and welcoming.
There's plenty of parking - but make sure you read the side walks and signage as some are labeled for the businesses and threaten towing.
Food being prepped as orders were being taken which means they were readying for a busy day! A good thing!
Friendly family spot. Family owned & operated.
Smells great soon as you walk in.
As we all know mostly all these "hole-in-the-wall" places can use upgrades. This is no different. But, it wouldn't take much. Some strategic placement of useable areas would do well here!

I ordered a CARNITAS Burrito as well as 2 LARGE Tacos (6" corn tortillas) - 1 Al Pastor (Pork and pineapple - a sweet and sour finish if you will) and 1 Chicken.
The Al Pastor, in my opinion could use a little more pineapple in it - be it juice or pineapple chunks. The seasoning was delicious! Just expected to taste the pineapple and didn't.
The Chicken were tasty! I did find a little gristle so I would recommend just being a little more vigilant while prepping.
The salsa is safe. Anyone can have it. At least the red salsa is. I will be back to try the other items.
The tacos are not scantily filled - THEY ARE LOADED!
Come grub down this way if your looking for a bit of a surprise and an honestly good deal by a family that's been serving tacos for 5 years at this spot. The spot btw has been here for over 30!

This place has very affordable food choices. Coming from the Bay Area, this place is a surprisingly huge discount even accounting for the SoCal cost of living. I got 2 crispy tacos: one with carne asada, one with carnitas, and both were pretty solid. There is sour cream, guac, and cheese on top, along with a decent amount of meat. It is pretty filling, even without rice and beans on the side. No matter what you do, it'll be hard to not get a filling meal for under $10. The only issue is that the tacos could be prepared better. Even though we did not order to go, they put it in to go boxes which is kind of a waste of resources. The ingredients are splattered all over, so it was hard to eat it without a fork.

This is one of the hidden gem mom and pop taco holes.

I especially like their stew meat preparations like chile verde or lengua. They are just tender, not too greasy, and the seasoning is just on point and not overly salty. I'll get  review these when I will finally order them again. Somehow, I always end up with their menudo.

My favorite here is obviously the menudo. They always graciously grant my request to have more tripas and less hominis .

Menudo (to go): deep beef broth, a bit thick, with a strong tomato and red pepper backbone. Overtone aromatics such as dried red pepper, raw onion, oregano, cilantro, and I *think* I smelled cumin. Tripe was stewed very soft while the hominis still have the firmness and corn aroma. Note they seem to be "northern style" adding a piece of tenderly stewed pig hock. Corn tortillas are recommended. 4/5.

Was looking for a breakfast burrito and came across this place. I got an excellent chorizo burrito that was both delicious and filling.

If you want amazing street tacos that make your tummy sing in pure joy this is your place! I love their combos and the price is just right. I get bummed that they are only open for lunch so whenever I can get home early for lunch I run to this spot. A must have must try just all around a must!
